“Taho” is a common snack in the
Philippines and it is made of silken tofu. It is served with brown sugar syrup
and sago (tapioca pearls).
Taho is a very healthy snack
mainly because tofu is made out of soybean and has high content of protein. It
has been said that soybeans are a good source of complete protein. It is much
better than protein from animal-based foods because it contains lesser fat. Some
benefits of eating taho include reducing the risk of colon cancer and heart
disease.
